Great Performer! After reading some of the reviews about liquid limitations I almost passed on buying this model. Then I looked over some other brands of food processors and found they all have a similar type of design where the inside spindle does not go all the way to the top. I also agree with other reviewers that for processing large quantities of liquids a blender is the proper tool. Just realize that the 12-Cup capacity is not for pure liquids.
Once I decided on the Kitchenaid I went back and forth on purchasing the 12-cup or 9-cup model. The 12-cup includes a second slicing disc as well as a storage tray which is very convenient to keep all the accessories organized. These two items are well worth $20-25 difference in price.
I now wonder how I every got away with having an old mini-size food processor all these years. I anticipate this being a much-used appliance in the years to come! :2010-09-16 03:04:35
Good product helpful customer service I bought this food processor a little over 3 years ago and have been very happy with it the whole time.
About a week ago I had a problem where it wasnt assembled properly and turned on anyway: it should not have been able to do this it damaged itself and posed a safety hazard in doing so. I called Customer Service and explained the problem and within 10 minutes the helpful representative on the line had agreed that it shouldnt do that and that they would send me a new unit along with a prepaid shipping label with which to ship back the damaged unit and that it should arrive in 3-5 days.
A company cant entirely prevent malfunctions. This is the best customer service experience I have had in years. I recommend KitchenAid products on the strength of this experience alone. :2010-09-16 03:04:35
kitchenaid kfp750cr food processor I am very happy with this processor. This replaces my hamilton beach one that didnt work well at all. Im amazed by how quickly and precisely it cuts up vegables like an onion and I never thought it could handle cheese so well! The 4 cup mini bowl is an truly nice feature for those smaller jobs! I love this food processor. I did lots of research trying to decide between this and a Cuisinart. I found lots of people who love both but in the end went with this one since it has such a great reputation I knew I couldnt go wrong. :2010-09-16 03:04:35
Endless Possibilities There are so many different things to consider when buying something like this. Which brand to buy? How many cups capacity do you really need? Which attachments to get? I agonized over my decision to buy this for several months before I finally purchased it. I read about the problems others were having with liquid leaking out the center because they had exceeded the liquid fill line (right on the side of the bowl cant miss it) and about how the bowl was an odd shape and the blade didnt reach all the food and how it was such a dangerous tool and blah blah blah. I almost went with a Cuisinart model of similar capacity but then I read about their customer service and how bad it is. I know KitchenAid has good customer service and so thats what finally sold me on this model. That and the fact that this (Empire Red) matches my stand mixer and it came with a box full of attachments and the 4-cup bowl for smaller batches. Its powerful easy to clean and very easy to assemble and disas :2010-09-16 03:04:35
